Hello

Hi, I’m Liz Chan — and Apparently I’m a Blogger Now

Hi. Hello. Welcome. 👋

If you’re here, congratulations — you’ve stumbled into the internet corner of a brand-new stay-at-home mom who thought, “You know what sounds fun and slightly unhinged? Starting a blog.”

So… here we are.

A little about me: I’m a new stay-at-home mom, fueled primarily by coffee that went cold two hours ago and snacks I hid from myself but somehow can’t remember where I put them. I recently traded work meetings and professional clothes for pajamas, toy explosions, and the thrilling daily game of Why is it quiet?

This blog exists because my brain is full. Full of thoughts, questions, random observations, half-finished ideas, parenting wins, parenting fails, and the occasional “am I the only one Googling this at 3 a.m.?” moment. I wanted a place where I could talk about anything — motherhood, marriage, mental health, budgeting, big dreams, little kids, reality TV, side hustles, life pivots, and whatever else is currently living rent-free in my head.

Let me be very clear: I am not an expert. I’m not here to tell you how to raise your children, fold fitted sheets, or drink hot coffee consistently. I am here to be honest, laugh at myself, overshare just a little, and remind you that you are absolutely not alone in this season of life.

I love humor. I love sarcasm (the gentle kind). I love finding joy in chaos. And I firmly believe that sometimes the only way to survive a hard day is to laugh at it — preferably while eating cookies over the sink.

If you stick around, you’ll find:

  • real mom life (the good, the messy, the “did I shower today?”)
  • stories from the trenches
  • things I’m trying that may or may not work
  • random thoughts I probably should’ve written in my Notes app
  • encouragement on the days that feel heavy
  • and hopefully a few laughs along the way

Basically, if you like honesty, humor, and someone who is figuring it out in real time… welcome. You’re my people.

Thanks for being here at the very beginning. I’m glad you found me.

Now excuse me while I go reheat my coffee for the third time.

— Liz
